Part 3: Specifying Drone Equipment

< Getting Started

Selecting your drone equipment can be confusing and overwhelming, but Gresco UAS is here to simplify the process. To determine what equipment will work best for you, it is important to figure out what you will be using it for, and what data you need to capture. The first place to start is to consider payload and sensors.

Payloads & Sensors
Ask yourself these questions:
Do you need a visible light camera? What level of image quality? Zoom capability? Do you need infrared capability? Radiation? Gas? Chemical? Multi-spectral?
Next, it is time to pick a compatible aircraft. See our camera compatibility guide here:

Inspire 1 Inspire 2 Matrice 200/210/RTK Matrice 200/210/RTK v2.0 Matrice 600 Pro

Aircrafts
Again, it is helpful to ask yourself a series of questions to determine the best fit. Consider the following factors: Flight time, redundancies, dual operator capabilities, weather resistance, compatibility, whether the aircraft is a multi-rotor or a fixed-wing unit, etc. Also see our drone comparison chart here:
